BJP MLA Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta voiced his frustration after encountering issues with his room booking at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. He shared a video on social media detailing how he had reserved two rooms in his name, with confirmations received. However, upon arrival, he was informed that only one room was available. The MLA inquired about the occupancy of other rooms and whether any Jharkhand MLAs or ministers were staying there, but he did not receive a satisfactory answer. In response, he staged a sit-in at the reception, consuming his breakfast on the floor. He criticized the management of the Jharkhand Bhawan and questioned its purpose, given the situation. He has requested Chief Minister Hemant Soren to address the issue and take necessary actions to ensure the smooth functioning of the building. The state-of-the-art Jharkhand Bhawan, built at a cost of over 100 crores, was inaugurated in September 2024 and features 50 guest rooms, along with VIP suites and special provisions for dignitaries.
