A Jharkhand BJP MLA, Dr. Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta, publicly protested after facing a room booking issue at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. He had previously reserved two rooms but was told only one was available upon arrival. Frustrated, he sat on the floor of the reception and ate his meal as a sign of protest. The MLA raised concerns about the management of the Jharkhand Bhawan and questioned its purpose if it failed to provide accommodation for elected representatives. He has requested the Chief Minister to address the issue and take necessary actions to improve the facility’s operations and accessibility for all Jharkhand MLAs. The newly constructed Jharkhand Bhawan, opened in September 2024, includes 50 guest rooms and suites designed for VIPs.
