Jharkhand’s Minister of School Education, Ramdas Soren, a prominent figure in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), passed away at Apollo Hospital in Delhi on Friday. Soren had been battling a severe illness and was receiving ventilation support. Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed his grief. The minister had suffered a fall in his residence’s bathroom, leading to a serious head injury and brain hemorrhage. He was subsequently airlifted to Delhi for advanced medical treatment, but despite the efforts of a team of specialists, he could not be saved. Soren, who was also a legislator from the Ghatshila assembly seat, made significant contributions to the Jharkhand movement. He was known for his simplicity and dedication to public service, making him popular among the people. His final rites will take place in his hometown.
