Security forces in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, conducted a significant operation on Friday, targeting the banned CPI (Maoist) group. The focus was on eliminating Naxalite infrastructure in the Kolhan-Saranda region. During the special operation, three Naxalite bunkers were destroyed, and a substantial amount of supplies and materials were seized. Intelligence suggested that key Maoist leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmol, and others, were planning disruptive acts in the Saranda and Kolhan areas. The operation was launched after authorities received specific information on August 6th about hidden supplies in the Jarai Kela police station area. A combined team from the Chaibasa police, Cobra 209 Battalion, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar conducted the raid. The team located and demolished three bunkers near Handekuli. The recovered items included wires, batteries, Naxalite uniforms, boots, backpacks, and other essentials. The investigation of the recovered items is in progress. The security forces are closely monitoring Naxalite movements. The ongoing joint operation aims to eradicate all potential Naxalite hideouts in the region.
