Security forces in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, conducted a major operation against the banned CPI (Maoist) group on Friday. The operation, focused on the Kolhan-Saranda area, resulted in the demolition of three Naxalite bunkers. A significant cache of materials was seized during the operation. Intelligence suggested that Naxalite leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmol, and others, were planning attacks. The police received information on August 6 about hidden supplies in Jaraikela that could be used against security forces. A joint team, including Chaibasa police, the Cobra 209 Battalion, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar, was formed to respond. The team discovered and destroyed the bunkers near Handekuli in the Jaraikela area. Recovered items included batteries, uniforms, boots, backpacks, and other supplies. The authorities are currently investigating the seized materials, and the security forces are maintaining constant vigilance over Naxalite activities. The ongoing operation aims to eliminate potential Naxalite hideouts.
