A soldier lost his life due to a cobra bite while conducting an anti-Naxal operation in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district. The soldier, identified as Sandeep Kumar of the 209 Battalion, was bitten in the Nurdha forest area. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to Ranchi for advanced treatment, he succumbed to the snake’s venom.
This incident highlights the perilous conditions faced by security forces in the region, where they confront not only Naxal threats but also the dangers posed by wildlife and the environment.
