Jharkhand’s Chief Secretary has ordered the IT Department to make the e-office system completely flawless. The decision comes as the state government pushes forward with digitizing its operations. A meeting was held with departmental heads to discuss the implementation strategy. The IT department is already working on an action plan. The deadline for the completion of the e-office system is set for January 2026. Technical experts from RailTel, NIC and JAPIT, who have developed the implementation strategy, have been instructed to create a timeline. The Chief Secretary highlighted the need to protect sensitive government files from cyber threats and to streamline the technical infrastructure to prevent delays. The aim is to facilitate e-office operations from any location. The process involves scanning and uploading all old files to a digital format. The Chief Secretary was reviewing the progress of the e-office light on Monday.
