Jharkhand to Receive Support for Defense Sector, Says CM at East Tech Symposium-2025

The “East Tech Symposium-2025” (Defence Expo) was inaugurated by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi. Chief Minister Soren highlighted the event as a significant occasion, emphasizing the Ministry of Defence’s initiative. He expressed confidence in the event’s ability to add new dimensions to the defense sector. The Chief Minister pointed out the potential for the defense industry to flourish in Jharkhand, given the availability of raw materials and uranium. He stated that the government is committed to cooperating with the central government to achieve self-reliance in the defense sector. He also discussed the role of industries like HEC, which manufactures crucial components. Soren acknowledged the need for better collaboration between the central and state governments to boost industrial growth. He ensured that the state government would provide its full support to the defense sector.
