A shocking case of brutality has emerged from the Godda district of Jharkhand, where a tribal minor girl was gang-raped by ten individuals while attending a wedding. The incident took place in the Sunderpahari police station area. The minor girl had reportedly gone outside the wedding venue at night to attend to nature’s call.
Approximately ten young men spotted the minor. They then grabbed the girl, silenced her, and transported her to a secluded location within the village. There, they committed the heinous act of gang-rape. The incident of gang-rape created an uproar in the entire village. A village council was also convened to resolve the matter.
Eight suspects have been apprehended. Attempts were made to resolve the situation, but after failing to get justice, the girl’s family went to the Sunderpahari police station and filed a complaint against the ten men involved. Subsequently, the Sunderpahari police arrested eight of the accused. All suspects are residents of the Sunderpahari police station jurisdiction.
A case has been registered against the eight accused under the POCSO Act and various other sections after the victim underwent a medical examination. Further action is in progress. The police are also searching for the two remaining suspects. It’s worth noting that before this instance, a similar case of gang-rape involving a minor girl occurred in Godda district.
In Bokaro, a woman was gang-raped. In the Sector-12 police station area, four men accosted a husband and wife returning from the market. They compelled them to drink alcohol. They bound the husband’s hands and feet and gang-raped his wife in his presence. Later, Sector-12 police took prompt action and arrested all four accused.
