Lalpania, Jharkhand: The tribal village near Jhumra Pahar in the Bokaro district is jubilant as Chand Muni Kumari becomes the first girl from the village to pass the matriculation examination. Her success is a beacon of hope in a community that has struggled with education for decades. Chand Muni scored a second-class in the exam conducted by Gomia’s Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya, Tenughat. Local community leaders, including Manoj Kumar Pahariya and Anita Kumari, acknowledged her accomplishment with a shawl and garland, which moved Chand Muni to tears. Her parents, Arjlal Kisku and his wife, are a migrant laborer and a homemaker respectively. Chand Muni’s ambition is to become a teacher and uplift the children in her village. Minister Yogendra Prasad and BDO Mahadev Kumar Mahto have pledged their support and announced plans to honor her.
