The Jivitputrika festival was observed with traditional fervor in Khunti district on Sunday. Mothers participated in the festival by observing a 24-hour waterless fast and conducting prayers to seek blessings for the long and healthy lives of their children. Rituals were performed with great devotion in various locations, including homes and near peepal trees. Collective worship took place in several areas, including Karra Road, Torpa Road, Pipratoli, Mishra Toli, and Badaik Tola. The celebrations reflect the deep-seated cultural significance of the festival, where mothers express their love and concern for the well-being of their offspring. The festival was also celebrated in other areas like Torpa, Karra, Rania, Murhu, and Arki.
