Senior Congress leader and former minister K.N. Tripathi has publicly declared that the state government is plotting his murder, citing the sudden removal of his police security detail as evidence. Tripathi, who believes he is unprecedented in being a former minister without state protection, stated that his safety is now managed by loyal Congress party activists. This situation arose after a reported dispute with his security guards, prompting the government to disengage all police personnel assigned to him. During a recent event, Tripathi was observed with several armed private guards, whom he identified as party workers. When questioned about the absence of official security, he voiced his suspicions, claiming the government aims to eliminate him and suppress his voice, alleging complicity of some police officers. He emphasized that the government has a duty to provide security as per protocol, but has instead abandoned his safety. Tripathi further revealed that accusations of him assaulting security personnel, leading to legal cases, were fabricated as part of a plot. He remains defiant, vowing to continue his activism against corruption and injustice, and holds the government accountable for his withdrawn security and the alleged conspiracy.
