A devastating event has unfolded in Khunti, Jharkhand, where two young boys tragically drowned in a pond. The accident took place in the Rania police station area, at Baghiya RC Toli, on Sunday evening around 5 pm. The deceased have been identified as Ashish Kerketta, aged 10, and Bilfred Marki, aged 9. After the children did not return home, concerned family members searched throughout the night, but without success. The next morning, a villager found the bodies in the pond and notified the authorities. The Rania police arrived at the scene to investigate, collect information from the families, and transport the bodies to the Sadar Hospital Khunti for a post-mortem. The community is reeling from the loss, and the families are inconsolable.
