The community of Khunti is mourning the sudden loss of Shaligram Mahadev Manki, a prominent social worker and the grandson of renowned freedom fighter Singraj Singh Manki. Manki, who also held the position of president for the Khunti District Manki Association, drowned in the sea at Digha. He hailed from Jojohatu village in the Khunti district and was the son of Govardhan Singh Manki. The family was informed of the unfortunate incident and immediately traveled to Digha on Thursday night. The news of his passing has been met with widespread grief, with many leaders, including former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and former MP representative Manoj Kumar, offering their heartfelt sympathies and remembering Manki’s contributions.
