A large-scale operation is underway in Jharkhand against Naxal and extremist activities. Security forces are continuously taking action against them. Simultaneously, a large number of extremists are also surrendering. Such an instance has come to light from the Latehar district of the state, where, in the presence of senior officers of the police and CRPF, nine extremists of the banned organization ‘Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad’ surrendered. They handed over 12 advanced weapons to the police, including 04 AK-47s, 01 AK-56, 03 SLRs, 02 .303 rifles, and 01 semi-rifle, totaling 12 weapons. Also, 1782 rounds of ammunition and 26 magazines were submitted.
