The festive season of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath sees a surge in train travel as people head home. To accommodate the expected rush, the Ranchi Railway Division is launching 14 special trains. These trains will serve key destinations in Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. This marks the first time the division has organized such a large-scale operation. Passenger safety is the utmost priority, and preparations are underway accordingly. The schedules for the special trains will be released soon, providing details on routes and timings. Furthermore, existing regular trains will have additional coaches added to increase capacity and ensure sufficient seating and ticket availability. A comprehensive strategy is in place to manage the crowds and ensure security at stations. Task forces will be stationed at major stations, supported by additional RPF and GRP personnel. Gate management and platform arrangements will be closely monitored, and senior officials will oversee station operations. Senior officials will also be on special duty at key stations to assist passengers and ensure smooth train operations.
