In a major operation, Khunti Police in Jharkhand have arrested four members of the banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI). The arrests followed the discovery of weapons and ammunition. The arrested individuals are identified as Pawan Lohra, Vicky Lohra, Arjun Lohra (alias Ishwar or Pecha), and Arpit Kerketta. The arrests took place near a government school in Birhu Uraon Toli, Khunti. The police recovered a pistol, eight bullets, two loaded magazines, a knife, a motorcycle, and a scooter. SP Manish Toppo confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects were gathered with weapons with the intention of committing a crime. Following the arrests, the four suspects have been placed in judicial custody. The police team involved in the arrests included various officers. Investigations revealed that the arrested individuals used the Signal mobile app to communicate with PLFI members, receive instructions, and coordinate extortion activities. The suspects have also admitted to involvement in multiple criminal acts, including firing at a business establishment and firing at a land dealer’s residence.
