A 25-year-old man, Ritesh Kumar Singh, sparked a major incident in Gumla, Jharkhand, by climbing a mobile tower and threatening suicide. The dramatic act followed a family dispute involving his father and brother concerning property division. The incident, which lasted over three hours, saw the man perched atop a 100-foot tower, prompting police intervention. After intense negotiations, the man was safely brought down but suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate the man, known to be struggling with substance abuse, had a physical altercation with his wife before the incident. The event has drawn parallels to a scene from the movie ‘Sholay,’ where a character threatens self-harm.
