Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the ancestral village of the late Shibu Soren to offer his respects, describing the death of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren as a significant loss. Singh stated on X, “After Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the tribal society has lost its biggest warrior with the death of Dishom Guru.” He recounted his interactions with Dishom Guru, noting his simplicity, straightforwardness and dedication, which greatly influenced him. Singh further expressed his feeling that the people of Jharkhand have lost not only a popular leader but also a guardian. He met with Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, and the family, expressing his condolences and offering prayers for strength to cope with the grief. Former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, MP Pappu Yadav, and former Rajya Sabha MP RK Anand also paid their respects at the memorial, offered their tributes, and conveyed their sympathies to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family.
