Tragedy struck the capital city of Ranchi, Jharkhand, as three police officers perished in a horrifying accident at Dhurwa Dam on Saturday. The deceased were serving as bodyguards to the Principal District Judge of Jamshedpur and a government driver. According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred late Friday night when the vehicle carrying the officers lost control while passing by the Dhurwa Dam. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the car speed into the water. A massive search and rescue operation was launched by local police and divers. After an extensive effort spanning 2-3 hours, the car was successfully extracted from the dam, tragically confirming the deaths of all three occupants and recovering police firearms. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the vehicle going off course and plunging into the dam. Initial findings suggest the officers had departed from the Judicial Academy in Dhurwa for Dhurwa Dam shortly before the fatal crash.
