A review of proposed flyover projects in Ranchi was conducted by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his residential office on Kanke Road. The meeting focused on presentations concerning the work plans and designs of three key flyovers aimed at easing traffic congestion in the city. The Chief Minister specifically reviewed the detailed presentation for the flyover project extending from Harmu (Sahjanand Chowk) to the ACB office. The CM highlighted the critical role the Harmu flyover will play in reducing traffic jams, addressing the frequent congestion on Harmu bypass road which causes significant problems for commuters. The project is designed to improve traffic flow and save travel time for residents. The Chief Minister directed officials to integrate this flyover with the Ratu Road flyover to further enhance public convenience. Road Construction Department officials informed the CM that the tendering process for the Harmu to ACB office flyover was complete. Furthermore, the Chief Minister engaged in a detailed discussion on various aspects of the proposed flyover projects including the one from Argora Chowk to Kathal Mor and the one from Karam Toli Chowk to Science City, offering essential guidance. The CM instructed the officials to expedite the creation of a comprehensive work plan and DPR for the flyovers and to proceed with the project implementation. A key directive was issued to build a roundabout at Argora Chowk, which would connect several major roads, thereby improving traffic mobility. The presentation for the elevated four-lane flyover project from Karam Toli Chowk to Science City was also examined, along with discussions regarding the planned road construction from Doctors Colony to Hill View Bariatu Road. The Chief Minister instructed the Road Construction Department to consider future requirements in the designs and overall execution of all flyover projects, emphasizing the government’s commitment to complete these projects with full dedication.
