Ranchi police have dismantled a sex racket operating out of a girls’ hostel in the Lalpur area. The raid, conducted by a police team under the leadership of City DSP K.V. Raman, resulted in the rescue of eight girls. The operation was initiated following a tip-off regarding the illegal activities taking place within the hostel. The authorities were informed that girls were being brought to the hostel from places including West Bengal and forced into unethical activities. The main person responsible for the racket is still at large. The police have launched an investigation into the identities and backgrounds of the rescued women, including the verification of their documentation.
