A murder investigation in Ranchi concluded with the arrest of six individuals connected to the fatal shooting of Ravi Kumar on September 7th. The incident, which occurred in the Ratu police station area, also left Rajballabh Gop injured. The police investigation, conducted using technological methods and local witness statements, swiftly identified and apprehended the perpetrators. Kunal Kumar, the primary suspect, along with Lal Mohan Prajapati, IMRoz Ansari, Bablu Yadav, Shrichand Prajapati (Chandu), and Vijay Prajapati (Kalu) were arrested. The motive revolved around a feud between Kunal Kumar and his neighbor, Rajballabh Gop, concerning property matters. Ongoing disagreements culminated in Rajballabh’s alleged assault on Kunal’s father and subsequent verbal altercations. Fuelled by a desire for revenge, Kunal enlisted the help of associates, offering them a sum of ₹5 lakh to carry out the hit. The shooters targeted Rajballabh, who was drinking alcohol at the time while wearing a white shirt, causing a mistaken identity. Ravi Kumar, sitting nearby, was shot and killed. Rajballabh Gop was also shot and wounded in the event. The authorities seized the weapons, a motorcycle, and a car used in the crime.
