Patients found his clinic a sanctuary, accessible anytime without hesitation or fear of judgment. His nominal ₹5 fee was legendary, a stark anomaly in an era of escalating medical costs that often burden the poor. Many would leave his clinic without paying, a generosity he readily extended. He served tirelessly in Haidernagar for many years, his practice characterized by honesty and a complete absence of deceit or unnecessary medical interventions. Later, he continued his service in Ramna and Nagar Untari, maintaining the same compassionate approach. When he moved to Daltonganj, a private hospital sought his expertise. Dr. Singh proposed continuing his ₹5 consultation fee, a principle he held dear. Eventually, he agreed to ₹50, but only after the hospital management highlighted operational costs. Hailing from a modest background in Murma village, Dr. Singh’s personal experiences fueled his deep-seated desire to help those in need.
