The Chief Minister highlighted the growing role of institutions like RINPAS in the present times, given the increasing cases of mental health issues. Providing better counseling and treatment is crucial, he remarked. While no one wants to need such services, the Chief Minister said, mental health challenges often necessitate it. The government is committed to improving the quality of treatment provided. The Chief Minister emphasized the need to use more advanced technologies in the treatment of individuals facing mental health issues. RINPAS will be equipped with the digital medical technologies required to address patients’ mental health concerns. He expressed concern about families abandoning patients and those who keep mentally ill individuals confined. He underscored the importance of easy access to mental health services. The Chief Minister also acknowledged the vision of those who established RINPAS in 1925. The institute’s importance today, he noted, speaks volumes about the foresight of its founders. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue and enhance the institute’s service. Key highlights of the event included the release of a postal stamp, a souvenir, and four books. Tele-mental health video conferencing and a digital academy were also launched. Several individuals were recognized for their contributions to RINPAS.
