The Shravani Mela 2025 is just days away, and the focus is on ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for all pilgrims. A key initiative involves spreading Ganga sand along the Kanwaria Path, specifically between Dumma and Khijuria. This measure is designed to prevent blisters on the feet of devotees as they walk. To combat the scorching heat, ‘Indra Varsha’ systems are being implemented. These artificial rain systems will be operational at 20 different points, offering a refreshing respite from the sun. The Path Construction Department has instructed contractors to complete the sand-laying work by July 10th. Additionally, the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department is finalizing the installation of toilets, drinking water facilities, and the ‘Indra Varsha’ systems. The arrangement includes 206 toilets, 82 hand pumps, and 9 water tap locations supplied by tube wells. The platforms along the Kanwaria Path are also being renovated.
