Ramgarh’s young musicians have brought home a silver medal from the State Level School Band Competition held in Ranchi. The competition, a flagship event for the Jharkhand Education Project Council, witnessed a captivating performance by the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kaitha. Under the able leadership of Band Captain Rani Kumari, the team’s 25 members impressed with their precise movements and melodious execution of various nationalistic songs. This achievement places them second in the entire state, a significant accomplishment that has garnered widespread praise. Education officials lauded the team’s dedication and the support system that enabled their success. Special training provided by Subedar Major Kulwant Singh of the Sikh Regiment Centre, Ramgarh, was instrumental in honing their skills. This victory is seen as the dawn of a new era for band performances in Ramgarh schools, with aspirations for gold medals in the future. The education department is committed to expanding band activities to all district schools.
