Soldier Father in Jharkhand Arrested After Daughter’s Brave Complaint of Years-Long Abuse

A harrowing incident in Jharkhand has led to the arrest of a father, a soldier stationed in Rajasthan, accused of repeatedly abusing his own daughter. The abuse reportedly started when the daughter was a young child and continued for an extended period. The victim, now 16 years old, finally reported the abuse to the police after enduring years of trauma. Despite facing obstacles, including her mother’s reluctance to involve the authorities due to societal concerns, the daughter stood her ground. The Tatisilve police station swiftly took action, arresting the father and initiating legal proceedings, including registering a case under the POCSO Act. The police have also conducted a medical examination of the victim and assured that strict measures will be taken against the accused to prevent such heinous acts in the future.
