The Kali Mandir at Koderma Railway Station was the epicenter of a grand two-day Kali Puja festival, celebrated with profound faith and enthusiasm. The festivities included evening Aarti, prayers, and a lively overnight ‘Jagran’ featuring talented local and visiting performers. The spiritual journey began with Ganesh Vandana, a melodious rendition by Munna Bhadani. Vinod Chaurasia ignited the crowd’s spirit with beloved bhajans such as ‘Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai, Mata Ne Bulaya Hai’. The devotional concert continued with exceptional performances from Raja Chaurasia, Anuradha Singh, Kshama Sonkar, and Anand Singh. The musical accompaniment, provided by Vishal Kapsime on the organ, Bablu Pandey on the dholak, and other skilled musicians, added a layer of splendor to the proceedings. A significant highlight was the ‘Bhandara’ organized after the evening Aarti, where thousands of devotees enjoyed a blessed meal. The temple grounds echoed with joyous devotional chants. Dinesh Mishra, the temple committee president, emphasized the event’s commitment to spreading spiritual values, unity, and communal harmony annually. The intricate puja rituals were expertly led by priest Vijaykant Upadhyay, who commenced the ceremony with the sacred Jyoti of Maa Kali.
