In a swift move to bolster security, Jamtara SP Rajkumar Mehta undertook an unannounced inspection of the city’s safety infrastructure late Tuesday evening. His itinerary included critical points such as the Jamtara Divisional Jail, the local Judicial Court, and various patrol units including the night patrol, Tiger Mobile, PCR, and QRT. A major security concern arose when Constable Sikandar Rawani, posted at the Judicial Court, was found missing from his duty station. This unauthorized absence from a highly sensitive area was deemed a critical security failure. Upholding strict accountability, SP Mehta ordered the immediate suspension of Constable Rawani for his negligence. The SP also evaluated the security protocols at the divisional jail and issued important guidelines to the on-duty staff.
