In a devastating event, three cows lost their lives after being hit by a high-speed vehicle in the Haldipokhar market, near the Jharkhand Gramin Bank, under Kowali police station in East Singhbhum. The incident took place late Tuesday night. The unknown vehicle plowed into a group of cows resting on the roadside. One other cow sustained severe injuries and is currently under veterinary care. Local sentiment reflects strong disapproval of the incident. Residents have condemned the act as a display of utter negligence and cruelty. They are demanding that the authorities treat such incidents as serious offenses and take appropriate action. Police officials, led by Kowali police station in-charge Dhananjay Kumar Paswan, responded quickly to the scene. They used a JCB machine to clear the road and later, with the help of locals, the deceased animals were buried on Wednesday.
