Residents of Baijnath Nagar in Tilaiya, Koderma district, are reeling from a series of burglaries that occurred on Sunday night. At least three homes were broken into, with thieves absconding with substantial sums of cash and precious jewelry. While one house was spared from a successful theft, two others were severely impacted. Adding a disturbing element to the investigation, a liquor bottle was found at one of the crime scenes, hinting that the burglars might have been under the influence of alcohol. This discovery suggests a level of audacity in their criminal activity. Tilaiya police have been alerted and are currently examining the premises for clues. Anil Saw, one of the victims, recounted how he learned of the break-in from neighbors while he was away at Gaon Chhatiyari. He discovered his home in disarray, with an estimated three lakh rupees in cash and various jewelry items missing. The police are diligently working to unravel the mystery behind these coordinated overnight thefts.
