Nemra village witnessed a significant influx of people from across the state on Monday, as they gathered to pay their respects to the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP. At Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s ancestral residence in Nemra, tributes were offered, with many placing flowers before a photograph of the departed leader. Both ordinary citizens and notable figures participated in the ceremony, demonstrating the widespread respect for Guruji. Attendees also took the opportunity to meet with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, conveying their deepest sympathies. The seventh day of the Shradh ceremony of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren saw a continuous flow of people arriving at his ancestral home in Nemra, starting early in the morning, to offer their respects.
People recalled the significant role of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren in the creation of Jharkhand, emphasizing his immense contribution to the state’s formation. They acknowledged that the people of Jharkhand would forever be indebted to him. Guruji devoted his life to the betterment of tribal communities, the poor, Dalits, and other marginalized groups. The legacy of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, including his struggles, ideals, and the path he illuminated, will continue to motivate the people of the state. Guruji will be remembered as a people’s leader, not just in Jharkhand but throughout India. The gathering to pay tribute to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren included state ministers, members of parliament, members of the legislative assembly, and other prominent personalities.
