In a swift development, Khunti police have arrested two men implicated in a life-threatening attack on businessman Shafiq Mian. The incident occurred on October 13th near the Akhara Maidan in Chhata village, Karra police station area. Mian, who resides in Padampur, was shot and critically wounded by assailants. The arrested individuals are Shahid Mian of Baraik Toli, Karra, and Modasir Ahmed alias Mo Raja Khan from Haider Complex, Khunti. A special investigation team, formed under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, spearheaded the operation. The arrested duo admitted to the shooting during police questioning. The dispute that led to the violent act was reportedly about vending space for a cosmetic stall in the Rolaguttu village market, specifically between Shafiq Mian and Shahid Mian. The investigation team successfully recovered the scooter used by the perpetrators and two live ammunition rounds. The police are continuing their efforts to ensure comprehensive justice.
