Amid the sacred vibes of Vasant Panchami, Ranchi erupted in joyous homage during Pahari Baba’s Tilakotsav on Friday. Curated by Sri Shiv Barat Ayojan Mahasamiti with Pahari Temple and Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir collaborators, the procession was a symphony of devotion, fueled by blaring trumpets, thumping dholaks, and fervent bhajans.
From its launch at Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir to the finale at Pahari Mandir, the yatra saw an influx of devotees in heritage costumes, each bearing symbolic offerings in beautifully decked baskets.
The temple’s portals swung open for a heartfelt welcome. The ceremonial tilak, rooted in timeless rituals, paved the way for prasad sharing that bound the community in bliss.
Esteemed guests like Rajesh Sahu, Rivaldo Verma, Meera Gupta, Ram Singh, and Yashwant Sinha graced the event. The samiti lauded the orchestration: pathways glittered with ornaments, safety measures were impeccable, hydration facilities dotted the route, and prasad reached every hand.
Behind-the-scenes heroes included Prem Sahu, Nitesh Pathak, Sanjay, Dayashankar Sharma, Rajesh Rai, and passionate volunteers like Kumari Tannu, Manoj Sahu, and Badal Singh.
