The mystery surrounding the murder of para teacher Mukru Devgam in West Singhbhum has been resolved with the arrest of three suspects. The accused, identified as Soma Sundi (25), Seenu Gaur (20), and Mangal Karova (20), have been taken into custody. According to a police statement, the victim, Mukru Devgam (50), a resident of Purna Chaibasa, was at the Purnapani Bazaar Tod in the Tonto police station area on November 29th to attend the local market. An altercation reportedly broke out over ‘handiya’, a traditional liquor, which quickly turned violent. The assailants then used stones and sticks to brutally attack Devgam, leading to his demise. The arrested individuals confessed to their crime during police questioning. The police team, constituted under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police and led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raifal Murmu, utilized technical support to track down and arrest the accused on November 30th from Kenjra village. Key evidence, including the murder weapon (a bloodied stone), a stick, and the clothes worn by the culprits, have been recovered based on their statements.
