J&K: Soldier Wounded During Kishtwar Anti-Terror Operation

Security forces engaged in a gun battle with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Wednesday, with a paratrooper sustaining injuries. The encounter began in the Chhatru region during a meticulously planned search operation. A joint team comprising Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army responded to specific intelligence indicating the presence of militants. The operation commenced at dawn. Upon the security forces nearing the target area, terrorists hidden in concealed positions unleashed a volley of bullets, prompting a strong retaliatory response. The wounded soldier was promptly evacuated to a Udhampur-based hospital for urgent medical care.
