At the Jammu University launch of ‘Kashmir-Nativity Regained’ by Prof. Ashok Koul, LG Manoj Sinha spotlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s sweeping metamorphosis and the assured rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. The book unflinchingly details the 1989-90 catastrophe—waves of terror forcing Pandits from their valleys, inflicting generational devastation.
Aligning with PM Modi’s resolve, Sinha vowed comprehensive support for their dignified return. ‘Since 2019, we’ve thwarted plots to derail destinies, restored ancient pride, and fast-tracked growth. This land will soon be terror-free,’ he confidently predicted.
He commended the work for piercing the veil of suppressed history. Saluting Pandit fortitude, Sinha marveled at their preservation of cultural identity amid strife, transforming suffering into triumphs. The 2021 web portal facilitates recovery of terror-occupied assets, confronting the alienation’s deep wound.
Sinha lambasted the terror apparatus: ‘We won’t forget attackers who bled innocents, including thousands of Kashmiri Muslims, in unspeakable horrors.’ Victim families now receive justice, jobs, and aid. Abrogating Article 370 sparked optimism for secure roots. In reconstruction, Pandits are the beating heart. Dignitaries like VC Prof. Umesh Rai and publisher Rajiv Jha graced the occasion.
