The highly anticipated Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge, a six-lane marvel, was officially opened by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday. This infrastructure project is poised to significantly improve connectivity across the Ganges, bolstering regional development. The bridge provides a vital link between Patna and areas like Diyara Jalla, which were previously difficult to access. Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin commended the Chief Minister for his foresight in initiating the project in 2015, noting the positive impact on Bihar’s connectivity. Local leaders and residents celebrated the achievement, highlighting the bridge’s potential to transform daily commutes and boost the local economy. The bridge, stretching 9.76 km, connects NH 31 to NH 322 and is expected to be fully functional by July 2025, easing traffic congestion. Additionally, plans for a new bridge between Arrah and Chhapra are underway, promising to further enhance Bihar’s transportation infrastructure.
