The Amarnath Yatra saw its beginning with the arrival of the initial group of pilgrims in Kashmir. Locals in Qazigund and Pahalgam warmly welcomed the devotees. At the Navyug Tunnel, the pilgrims were greeted with sweets and Izbandh Soz by Kashmiri youth. The welcoming atmosphere highlighted the spirit of unity and hospitality in the region. The pilgrimage is scheduled to officially begin on July 3, 2025, with robust security protocols in place. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha initiated the journey from Jammu, with around 4,500 pilgrims commencing their sacred trek, heavily secured along NH-44.
