The National Lok Adalat will address various types of cases, including criminal compoundable offenses, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, matrimonial disputes, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), service matters, revenue cases, and other civil cases. The Lok Adalat takes place in district courts, all taluka-level courts, labour and industrial courts, family courts, consumer forums, and other tribunals. Those wishing to participate need to submit applications to the respective courts.
