A gunfight erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Guddar forest of Kulgam during an ongoing anti-terror operation. The joint team involved in the operation included the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army’s 9 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Intelligence reports had indicated the presence of terrorists, prompting the search operation. The security forces engaged the terrorists, resulting in the killing of one. An Army JCO was injured during the encounter. The operation remains active, with reinforcements dispatched to the site.
