A series of joint operations by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police between August 25th and August 31st, 2025, led to substantial seizures and arrests across multiple districts in Manipur. Key areas of operation included Jiribam, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tamenglong, Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Imphal East. The operations resulted in the capture of three militants and the recovery of a large quantity of weaponry, including 53 firearms, 7 IEDs, and narcotics valued at approximately 10 lakh rupees, along with other materials used in warfare. On August 25th, the Assam Rifles seized 1200 WY tablets worth approximately 10 lakh rupees in Munnuam village, Churachandpur district. A significant amount of weapons including an AK-47, INSAS rifles, mortars, pistols, carbines, and ammunition was recovered from Singtong village, Chandel district.
