In a significant development, a doctor hailing from Lucknow has been arrested for alleged involvement in a widespread terror network that has operations across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The apprehension of Dr. Shaheen was made after an AK-47 rifle was discovered in a car registered in her name. This arrest comes just a day after a substantial haul of 360 kilograms of explosives and a weapons cache were found in a rented house in Faridabad, Haryana. The house was reportedly occupied by Dr. Muzammil Shakil, a 35-year-old doctor from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, who was associated with Al-Falah Medical College. Dr. Shaheen’s arrest marks the eighth for this terror module, which intelligence agencies suspect is linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). She is the third medical professional to be detained in the escalating investigation. Authorities have confirmed Dr. Shaheen has been flown to Srinagar for interrogation. The successful operation was a joint endeavor involving law enforcement from Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, bolstered by central intelligence agencies. Further investigations revealed another property rented by Dr. Shakil yielded 2,563 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, leading to the detention of the property owner for questioning.
