During the TV9 Bharatvarsh’s Satta Sammelan, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav discussed the Ladli Behna Yojana, outlining plans to provide ₹3000 per month to women by 2028. He responded to Congress’s past criticisms of the scheme, highlighting the incremental increases in the payment amounts over time. Initially, ₹1000 was distributed before the elections, followed by ₹1250, and then ₹1500 during Sawan and post-Diwali. Yadav stressed the government’s commitment to reach ₹5000 eventually and contrasted it with the perceived financial shortcomings of the Congress’s tenure. He underscored the government’s focus on supporting the welfare of women, citing the initiative to create job opportunities in the readymade garments sector, which would offer additional financial support to empower women and make them self-reliant. Yadav also mentioned a positive research study on the scheme’s impact on children’s health, education, and home environments. He expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support and mentioned that the government will review the addition of new names to the scheme.
