A complex plot unfolded in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, where Vishal Soni, son of BJP leader Mahesh Soni, attempted to escape a ₹1.40 crore loan by feigning his death. The charade commenced with the report of a drowning in the Kalisindh River, prompting a ten-day search by police and rescue teams. Unbeknownst to them, Soni was in hiding in Maharashtra. Further complicating matters, a false kidnapping report was filed at the Fardapur police station. Upon his arrest, Soni admitted to the elaborate deception. The search operation started after his car was discovered in the Kalisindh River on September 5th, leading to the widespread investigation.
