Manendra Patel, Durg. Two major road accidents took place in the district this morning. In the first incident, a seven-year-old innocent girl who was going to her maternal grandmother’s house with her mother to celebrate Teej died after being hit by a tanker, while in the second incident, a bike rider died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle. The first incident is from Padmanabhpur police station area, where a seven-year-old girl, who was going to her maternal grandmother’s house in Kolihapuri with her mother, brother and maternal uncle to celebrate Teej festival, died a painful death after being hit by a water tanker.

The tanker driver, while driving fast and recklessly, hit the motorcycle of the children’s maternal uncle Kewal Sahu, due to which the girl Durgeshwari Sahu’s maternal uncle, mother and brother fell away, while the girl Durgeshwari Sahu got seriously injured after being hit by the tanker.

The Padmanabhpur police reached the spot and was taking the girl to the hospital for treatment, but she died on the way. After the incident, the accused tanker driver fled leaving the tanker behind. The tanker belongs to Siddharth Construction Company, Durg. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

The second incident is from Anda in Durg, where a bike rider died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Atal Chowk. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot. This incident is said to have happened around 8 am, in which the Anda police station has started investigation after registering a case.
