Satya Rajput, Raipur. The movement of the Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Association is going on in Chhattisgarh for 10 point demands including teacher recruitment and cancellation of rationalization. Thousands of educated unemployed youth who reached Tuta Dharna Sthal in Nava Raipur from different districts of the state are protesting for their demands. Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Association has written a letter to the Chief Minister and has requested to seriously consider the demands and take appropriate action as soon as possible.

The Chhattisgarh Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Association has written a letter to the Chief Minister, in which they have demanded the immediate start of the recruitment process for thousands of vacant teacher posts in schools across the state. The association says that lakhs of D.Ed and B.Ed trained candidates have been waiting for recruitment for a long time.

The letter mentioned that during the assembly elections, the Chief Minister’s party’s manifesto promised to recruit 57,000 teachers. Trusting this assurance, trained unemployed people voted in favour of the party’s candidates, which led to the formation of the government.

The union also mentioned the announcement of recruitment of teachers by the then Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal in the letter and said that during the first session of the Vidhan Sabha, the then Education Minister Hon’ble Brijmohan Agrawal had announced the recruitment of 33 thousand teachers in the current academic session, but till date the process of this recruitment has not been started and lakhs of trained D.Ed and B.Ed candidates across the state are feeling cheated. Therefore, you are requested to seriously consider the following demands of Chhattisgarh Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Union and please take appropriate action as soon as possible.

10 point demands of Chhattisgarh Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Association –

The recruitment process for the 33 thousand vacant teachers in the schools of the state should start soon, which should include the posts of all faculties and subjects. Recruitment of teacher/category-02 should be subject wise. The government’s decision to close thousands of schools in the name of rationalization should not be postponed, but cancelled. Keeping the 2008 setup of the School Education Department intact, the process of new recruitments should be completed as soon as possible. Recruitment should be started soon to fulfill the announcement of 1844 posts of librarian in the state and the post of lecturer of Arts Faculty has not come for the last 14 years, which should be included in the upcoming teacher recruitment. Recruitment should be started soon for 1440 vacant posts of Physical Education Teacher and Agriculture Teacher in the schools of the state. 5% relaxation should be given to the reserved category in the upcoming teacher recruitment. Posts should be created for PG Diploma holders in Chhattisgarhi in the schools of the state and recruitment should also be done on their posts. Due to lack of timely recruitment, many D.Ed and B.Ed candidates are becoming over age and will become ineligible to become teachers. They should be given additional age relaxation. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board should organize teacher eligibility test twice a year.
