According to the department, there is a possibility of low clouds with rain at different places in Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Raigarh, Shakti, Sarangarh Bilaigarh in the next 3 hours.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for many parts, predicting heavy rains in many districts within 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in Korea, Balrampur, Jashpur, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Surajpur, Raigarh and Korba districts.

According to the information compiled by the state level control room set up by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, an average rainfall of 892.1 mm has been recorded in the state since June 1, 2024. According to the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 01, 2024 to August 27, the highest average rainfall of 1862.9 mm has been recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall of 492.3 mm has been recorded in Surguja district.

According to the information received from the state level flood control room, from June 1 till now, an average rainfall of 895.7 mm was recorded in Surajpur district, 1306.8 mm in Balrampur, 752.3 mm in Jashpur, 914.4 mm in Korea, 893.9 mm in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.

Similarly, average rainfall of 740.6 mm was recorded in Raipur district, 928.0 mm in Baloda Bazar, 838.2 mm in Gariaband, 680.7 mm in Mahasamund, 778.3 mm in Dhamtari, 839.7 mm in Bilaspur, 938.3 mm in Mungeli, 855.6 mm in Raigarh, 520.0 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 981.6 mm in Janjgir-Champa, 843.0 mm in Sakti, 1199.8 mm in Korba, 903.3 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 533.5 mm in Durg. From June 1 till now, an average rainfall of 697.9 mm has been recorded in Kabirdham district, 869.6 mm in Rajnandgaon, 981.3 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadhchowki, 643.4 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 908.3 mm in Balod, 496.2 mm in Bemetara, 925.5 mm in Bastar, 849.6 mm in Kondagaon, 1064.5 mm in Kanker, 1002.5 mm in Narayanpur, 1110.6 mm in Dantewada and 1192.2 mm in Sukma district.
