Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. The roads of the famous Itwari Bazaar of Khairagarh district headquarters of Chhattisgarh have been in bad condition for years. During the rainy season, the local people have to face a lot of difficulties without road facilities. In view of such conditions, today the District Congress Committee staged a dharna on the road in the pouring rain and registered protest by planting paddy in the Itwari Bazaar Chowk itself.
Let us tell you, local people have protested many times before for better road facilities in the main market of the district i.e. Itwari Bazaar. But till now the condition of the roads remains the same. Today, Congress also opened a front on this issue and Congressmen sat on the road amidst heavy rain. Congressmen planted paddy on the road of Itwari Bazaar Chowk and expressed their protest by giving shameless flower to the officer who came to take the memorandum.
In this matter, MLA Manrakhan Devangan said that there are big potholes on all the main roads of the city due to which pedestrians are becoming victims of accidents. The children going to school are troubled by this dilapidated road, due to which we have staged a protest today. As soon as the information about the protest was received, the administration has done the formality by putting cumin and gravel here, but we want a permanent solution to this. He further said that if there is no permanent solution to this, we will stage a fierce protest and will fight the battle from the road to the House through MLA Khairagarh.
